We are a small team of electronic engineering geeks, based in one of the smallest islands in Europe, Malta!
Our goal is to simplify electronics and robotics, whilst making our projects more accessible to makers, students and engineers!
The journey began with our founder, Carl Bugeja, experimenting with tiny motors integrated into Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs). This sparked a 5years+ research mission into various projects, including PCB robots, motors, actuators, displays and other electronic devices. Teaming up with his cousin Luke Sestito, they started Microbots to turn these projects into the products you see on our website.
